Recreating picutres

When my friends were down the other weekend, we were looking at the pictures I had actually gotten printed out. C found one and she wanted to try to recreate it.

I think she captured the essence of what V was doing in the picture.

The girls saw what C did with the Gold Jacket and a hat and wanted to try to recreate it themselves. They were really into it – making sure they were standing in the same place, it was so funny!

L picked the Korean pose and I think she did a marvelous job!!

Then V killed it as well!!!

The girls had a blast and I was telling them also about how the Ramos kiddos reenacted scenes from popular Disney movies. L definitely wants to try doing something like that. I will let you know if anything is produced!

Blessings and Love,

Visit From Friends!!!

Old friends with new friends!!
Old friends with new friends!!

Two of my best friends from up North came for a quick weekend visit!!! I have known them FOREVER, and it was sooooooo great to see them again after a few months apart.

They made good time and got to Ventura by 6:45pm on Friday evening. They met my host family for a quick second and then we were off to dinner. It was awesome of my host family to let them stay with me in my dwelling, so they didn’t have to spend extra money on a hotel room. Thanks, K Family!!!!

The kiddos had drawn them pictures to welcome them to Ventura and their home – I don’t know why but I have no pictures of that…

After dinner, we just hung out in my room – laughing and talking – about anything and everything. Then C had to bring out the Gold Jacket!!! I haven’t brought it out for my people here in Ventura yet…

W ended up going to sleep, while C and I just talked – mostly about God and how much He truly LOVES us. We both have a hard time realizing and truly believing HOW much God loves us.

Saturday – We woke up and just ready for our day. They met more of the people in my new world. We walked down the Ave, W didn’t bring good shoes so her fests were on fire after that walk. We walked back to my house, got THEO and went to lunch. I took them to Tony’s Pizza on Thompson and Figueroa – great pizza place that’s been there FOR YEARS!!!

Wendy’s feet were really hurting, so we went back to my house to get her a change of shoes and I also wanted a cardigan, it was a bit windy that day. Then I took them up to the cross where they got an aerial view of Ventura! Then we went on Main Street and all the different Thrift shops there.

Then we were off to the beach!!! I tried to get to the pier, but I don’t know where I thought I was, but I was wrong… So we ended up at Marina Park, but it was still a beach!!

Me, W, and C at the beach!!!

C’s advent-cha friend, Bilbo, discovered the beach for the first time!! And then we took at least a 100 pictures of us on the beach… I can I say, we like to take pictures when we take any pictures… 🙂

Here are just a few… 🙂

Before we left C really wanted to take a picture with one of the cool lamp posts…

Then we were off to another friend’s house in Santa Paula! The Ramos Clan are a family we have known for years and they moved down to the area about 5 years ago. C and W couldn’t make a trip down here without seeing them…

The Girls!!

And added the boys!

Sunday – we all went to my new church, Bible Fellowship Church. We had Lalo’s – an AMAZING Mexican restaurant, only a few blocks down from me! Awesome and dangerous at the same time.

Then, we were headed back North…I felt a little weird not having to get in the car and drive home.

It was a whirlwind, quick visit, but it was soooo nice to see their faces!! C is moving to Seattle at the end of the year, so it was nice to get them both down here to see my new world!!

Blessings and Love,

Those moments when you just forget…

You know those moments when you walk into a room and then promptly forget why you walked into the room to begin with…

I have those moments more than I like. When I worked at the Bux I used to walk into backroom and 8 times out of 10 would forget why I went back there. My manager called it having the backroomsies, the backroom was a black hole for me. I still have those moments – like walking into my room with such determination but then forgetting once I crossed the threshold. I even wanted to write this little blog a few times, but would always forget about it. 🙂 It’s so annoying but I have definitely just accepted it as part of me.

Or those moments when someone asks you a question and you know the answer, the answer is on the tip of your tongue, but you can’t vocalize it… How like 2 hours later you remember but the moment has definitely passed. I’m one of those people who will think about it until I REMEMBER!!!
